Report on the Dedication to the Nation Programme at KV Matanhail

 A Dedication to the Nation programme was organized at PM SHRI Kendriya Vidyalaya, Matanhail (Jhajjar, Haryana) on 29th July 2025. The newly constructed school building was formally dedicated to the nation by Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, Hon’ble Union Minister of Education.

The event was graced by the presence of Dr. Sukanta Majumdar (Hon’ble Minister of State for Education), Shri Jayant Chaudhary (Hon’ble Minister of State for Education), Shri Deepender Singh Hooda (Hon’ble Member of Parliament, Rohtak), and Smt. Geeta Bhukkal (Hon’ble MLA, Jhajjar), along with other distinguished guests, local representatives, and community members.

Distinguished guests included:

- Smt. Geeta Bhukkal, Hon'ble Member of the Legislative Assembly
- Senior officials from Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan: Shri Bhupesh Bhatt, Assistant Commissioner KV RO Gurugram
- District administration authorities: SDM Jhajjar, CTM Jhajjar
- Local community leaders and educationists


The programme began with the unveiling of the inauguration plaque, followed by a brief interaction with the staff, students, and attendees. The dignitaries appreciated the efforts made to provide modern infrastructure to the school and emphasized the importance of quality education in nation-building.

The event was adorned with cultural performances by students in vibrant traditional attire, showcasing India's rich heritage. Patriotic songs, folk dances, and a stage presentation celebrating the role of education in nation-building enthralled the audience.

The event concluded by Principal KV Matanhail Mr. Kanwar Singh with applause and appreciation from all present, marking a proud moment for the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan and the people of Matanhail.

Major civil aviation crashes with significant fatalities

 

  • Indian Airlines Flight 440 (May 31, 1973): A Boeing 737-200 crashed during its approach to Delhi's Palam Airport after encountering severe weather and striking high-tension wires. 48 of the 65 people on board died.

  • Air India Flight 855 (January 1, 1978): A Boeing 747, named "Emperor Ashoka," plunged into the Arabian Sea shortly after takeoff from Mumbai. All 213 people on board were killed. Instrument failure and pilot disorientation were cited as causes.

  • Air India Flight 403 (June 21, 1982): An Air India Boeing 707 crashed while approaching Bombay airport in heavy monsoon weather. 17 of the 111 people on board died.

  • Air India Flight 182 (June 23, 1985): While not within Indian airspace, this devastating act of terrorism involved an Air India flight from Canada to India. A bomb exploded mid-air off the coast of Ireland, killing all 329 people on board.

  • Indian Airlines Flight 113 (October 19, 1988): A Boeing 737-200 crashed on its approach to Ahmedabad Airport in poor visibility. It struck trees and crashed short of the runway, killing 133 of the 135 people on board.

  • Indian Airlines Flight 605 (February 14, 1990): An Airbus A320 crashed while approaching Bangalore Airport, landing short of the runway due to pilot error. 92 of 146 people on board were killed.

  • Indian Airlines Flight 257 (August 16, 1991): An Indian Airlines Boeing 737 crashed on descent into Imphal due to pilot error, killing all 69 occupants.

  • Indian Airlines Flight 491 (April 26, 1993): A Boeing 737 crashed shortly after takeoff from Aurangabad when it hit a truck on the runway. 55 of the 118 people on board died.

  • Charkhi Dadri Mid-Air Collision (November 12, 1996): This remains the deadliest mid-air collision in aviation history. A Saudi Arabian Airlines Boeing 747 collided with a Kazakhstan Airlines Ilyushin Il-76 near Charkhi Dadri, Haryana, killing all 349 people on board both aircraft. Miscommunication and ATC lapses were the main factors.

  • Alliance Air Flight 7412 (July 17, 2000): A Boeing 737-200 crashed into a residential area near Patna airport during a go-around attempt, killing 55 people on board and 5 on the ground.

  • Air India Express Flight 812 (May 22, 2010): This flight from Dubai overshot the tabletop runway at Mangalore International Airport and plunged into a gorge. 158 of the 166 people on board died. Pilot error and an unstable approach were cited.

  • Air India Express Flight 1344 (August 7, 2020): A repatriation flight from Dubai skidded off the runway at Kozhikode (Calicut) airport during heavy rain, breaking into two and killing 21 people, including both pilots.

    According to the schedule, exams for CBSE Secondary School Examination 2025 (CBSE Class 10) will commence on February 15th and go on till March 18th, 2025. For the CBSE Senior School Certificate Exam 2025 (CBSE Class 12), the exams also begin on February 15th 2025 and end on April 4th, 2025.

    CBSE Board Exam 2025 Timetable for Class 10

    The CBSE Class 10 Board Exams for 2025 will begin on Saturday, 15th February, starting with English (Communicative) and English (Language and Literature). The exams will run until Tuesday, 18th March 2025, covering subjects like languages, A science, mathematics, social science, and vocational courses. Each exam will last between 2 to 3 hours.

     Kendriya Vidyalaya Matanhail celebrated Unity Day, commemorating the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, and Martyr Day, marking the death anniversary of Srimati Indira Gandhi, former Prime Minister of India, on October 31, 2023. The school organized a day of events to pay tribute to these two eminent figures and promote the values of unity and patriotism.

    Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti Celebration at KV Matanhail - 2023

    Introduction: Kendriya Vidyalaya Matanhail, a prominent educational institution, celebrated Gandhi Jayanti and Lal Bahadur Shastri Jayanti with great enthusiasm and reverence on October 2, 2023. These two significant occasions were observed with a series of events and activities aimed at instilling values of peace, non-violence, and patriotism among the students.

    Event Highlights:

    Morning Assembly: The celebration began with a special morning assembly that brought together students, teachers, and staff members. The assembly commenced with singing the national anthem and a rendition of Gandhiji's favorite bhajan, "Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram." This was followed by a brief introduction to the life and contributions of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri by the Kendriya Vidyalaya Matanhail Principal.

    CBSE Board 2023 Datesheet: CBSE Class 10 and 12 time table has been released

     CBSE Board 2023 Date sheets: Central Board of Secondary Education has released CBSE Board Exam 2023 datesheet. The Class 10, and 12 timetable is available to appearing candidates on the official site of CBSE at cbse.gov.in. The date sheet will carry exam dates, timing, and other exam instructions for the CBSE 10th, and 12th board exams 2023.

    • The Class 10 or Secondary exam date sheet will begin on February 15 and will end on March 21, 2023.
